Contribution to your learning

and your learning community

(5320)

I firmly believe that human beings have the power to do amazing things; the only limit is the endless sky.  We have the keys to helping others develop their abilities, keeping the experiences we have to design plans or strategies that can contribute to the learners being better and reaching their goals. However, people are not born with experiences; it takes time to go through life. When I think about the contributions that these courses have given me and how it has contributed to my life, my professional career, and my community, I can only say it changed the way I live my life every day because I am still discovering abilities that I have and that I have never thought were in me.

One of the benefits I received from this course was that, as a student, I need to get experiences and knowledge from others and share mine with them. Not only my experiences count, but at the same time, as a teacher, I have learned that it is crucial to create an optimum learning environment in each stage of the educational life. In this course, I learned how to organize and analyze my innovation project by evaluating my learning process, assessing the lessons learned, and applying these insights to how I would lead innovation projects in the future. Additionally, I learned how to communicate and promote my innovation plan/project, analyze the lessons learned, and plan to complete and promote the project.

Moreover, the experience I gained in this course helped me understand that presenting and sharing information I have gathered and tested in my environment is a great way to connect with others and demonstrate leadership skills. In this course, I had the opportunity to put into practice the values learned in other classes, such as choice, ownership, and voice, through authentic learning opportunities. Furthermore, another relevant point is that research has demonstrated that incorporating feedforward or educative formative assessment will also help to continue that shift toward the learner mindset. The power of a growth mindset is powerful and impressive and needs to be shared with everyone.

The definition of experience could vary for each one. At the beginning of this course, I noticed the importance of participating in discussing the topics for every assessment. It was a valuable time when we could express our opinions, add comments to the blogs, or simply read other colleagues' discussions about a topic. This brought to my attention a reflection on how important it is to share our background with others because more is needed to have skills to learn. It may quickly be forgotten without reflecting on these experiences, or its learning potential may be lost.

During these assessments, I collaborated with other colleagues. We discussed the course's topics and shared ideas, which made this online learning experience more enjoyable and engaging. We also shared resources, relevant articles, etc. Finally, this course was a great experience because I worked as a team, sharing our experiences and contributions weekly to reach the goals of this course.

The course EDLD 5320 taught me how to analyze and synthesize all key aspects and components of the ADL program and ePortfolio process that contributed to my development as a digital learner and leader and share this experience with the comprehensive organization of my innovation project. Besides, I learned how to locate, evaluate, and compile web-based resources, experts, and communities to help me grow and develop as a digital learner and leader. I completed almost all the reading and videos required for this course but missed some live sessions because of the extra work needed at the beginning of the school year. Also, most of the time, I work additional hours at school. However, I was watching the recording session and reached out to my peers if I had any questions.

I can't believe that I've reached the end of this path. At times, I thought I wouldn't make it. I'm filled with mixed emotions of happiness and sadness. I will miss everything about this course - the classes, the lectures, and my colleagues. But since everything ends, we must take our course in different but equal directions. We all have a reason, and that reason is to contribute to society from our classrooms.

I would like to express my gratitude to my two colleagues who have become good friends. I appreciate their positive qualities and everything I have learned from them. The support that I received from Yunuen and Siary was unparalleled. They are both exceptional human beings with numerous virtues and qualities.

During our assignments, we shared our work by sending links to our portfolios and giving each other feedback. During our meetings, we discussed how to approach each assignment and helped each other manage our schedules and delivery dates. We examined two subjects and gave each other objective feedback to help each other. I now fully understand the APA format and no longer need to work on improving it. Our reflections were insightful, and we gained valuable advice and experiences from each other.

In Synthesis ADL, we shared our emotions and worked together to understand the structure of the final summary of the entire master's degree. During our meetings, Yunuen is responsible for managing the logistics of schedules and links. At the same time, Siary and I analyze the assignments, videos, and discussions to share a summarized version in our meetings. I want to talk about Yunuen. She is an exemplary individual from whom one can learn many things from her experience. She is very responsible, punctual, and objective. She keeps us focused and directs us to stay on track.

Additionally, Yunuen's sincerity is a point in her favor since she knows how to express her opinions without offending anyone. Yunuen, I am going to miss you very much. I will miss our conversations and your professional and personal advice. I am pleased to talk about Siary, an individual with extensive patience and dedication. She is intelligent and passionate about what she doe/s. Siary deserves all my admiration, as she is a mother of small children, which makes her even more brilliant. She is highly knowledgeable about technology tools and radiates a lot of faith and devotion to her family, practice, and beliefs. Siary is very kind-hearted and always willing to help those in need. Siary, I don't want to say goodbye to you. I am grateful to have met you; you have all my respect. I consider you a friend forever.

Dear colleagues and friends, This message is not to say goodbye but to say, "See you soon." I want you to know that you have a friend in me, and I hope all your dreams and goals come true. I want you to know that I admire and respect you.

I am grateful that we can work in teams on this subject. Without a learning community, we would be limited to a single perspective, and we wouldn't be able to conduct in-depth analysis, give and receive feedback, and ultimately succeed in all ten subjects.

I am leaving calmly and with many valuable lessons learned. I have also gained two more friends. Thank you all for everything.

At this point, I will determine the numerical score for the self-assessment; this is my first master's in education. However, I am trying to do my best and will keep improving in the areas where I need to. I have in EDLD 5320, 90 out of 100. This grade reflection is based on the fact that all key contributions were met, and some supporting donations still needed to be met. Every day is an opportunity to apply the knowledge I have acquired in Lamar University courses. The power of “YET” reminds me that things could look complicated on the road, but I can reach my goals with effort and perseverance.
