The 4DX disciplines of Execution
in my organization

The 4 Disciplines of Execution methodology provide the framework for organizations seeking to increase strategic execution by creating a high-performance culture. COVEY, Franklin, 2012.

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you know what needs to be done but need help with how to do it? That's where the disciplines of execution come into play. These disciplines teach us the methods to carry out our work plan with the Four Disciplines of Execution, ensuring that we achieve our essential goals without losing sight of our objective.

Leaders always have good intentions in organizations. They always want to work and do things in the best possible way. However, when an initiative or project is to be implemented in any organization, it is necessary to plan for an ideal execution. Teachers get caught up in the whirlwind of their daily work and often find themselves involved in a series of initiatives designed by their organization. From the organization's perspective, such initiatives are well thought out and ready to be implemented. However, more often than not, educators have little input into the planning and even implementation stages of such initiatives. The 4 Disciplines of Execution (4DX) is a methodology that helps organizations close the execution gap. I have developed an innovation plan, found our key sources of influence, and am ready to create an execution strategy. To have a higher chance of success in my plan, I will use the 4 Disciplines of Execution.

As an educator, I am always in the whirlwind of my job's daily tasks and struggles. I am constantly multitasking at work, and jumping from one task to the next makes me feel like I can never catch my breath. But as an educator, I can't get caught up in the whirlwind. My primary responsibility is to help my students grow so they can succeed in life. My innovation plan is the ultimate goal, so I will use the 4 Disciplines of Execution to help me make it a reality. By understanding these four disciplines of execution, we can learn to implement daily activities that lead us to achieve our goals. Join me as I relate this critical topic to my work at Blended Learning, where I teach math to preschoolers.

The Six Sources of Influence and the Four Disciplines of Execution share a common goal: achieving a set objective by utilizing various skills. While the Six Sources focus more on individual planning and the Four Disciplines emphasize teamwork, combining both approaches in a project can yield significant positive outcomes for student learning, ultimately the ultimate goal.

The social aspect of the Six Sources of Influence aligns well with The 4 Disciplines of Execution. This is because it involves forming a work team, gathering their opinions, establishing commitments, providing evidence, and maintaining contact with others who support the goal. For me, this includes staying in touch with parents who are also part of my work team, as their support is crucial in achieving our learning objectives.

Upon closer examination of the subjects covered in the Digital Education master's degree program, it becomes clear that they are interconnected and more comprehensible as the degree progresses.
