Influencing

Strategy

Influencing is undoubtedly one of the most important things people do as leaders. Leading involves motivating and helping people realize, empower, and strive to achieve their goals. Great leaders create change not because they are told to do something but because they have the conviction to consider the motivations and concerns of those they lead. They surround themselves with people who make passionate decisions and take action to foster positive change. When you inspire others, light bulbs go off in their minds and they become connected parts of the same engine working for a common cause.

To establish an authentic learning environment, we must be willing to make certain changes, even if we are reluctant to try new things in the classroom. Creating a comfortable work environment is crucial to facilitate learning and get children to come to school with a positive and fearless attitude.

One of the road behaviors I would like to change is a lack of autonomy, especially among preschool students who require a lot of help to get around. I believe in teaching them that despite their small size, they can do things independently with the right support and confidence. Another behavior that can be improved is teamwork. While there may not be a significant problem, there are situations where teamwork could be better. This includes commitment to the project and working toward goals.

Encouraging and motivating team members to work towards a shared objective is a vital behavior aspect of effective leadership.

In the influence model, every project is successful only if two elements change: ability and motivation. This requires intervention at a social, personal, and structural level. In my Innovation Proposal, I will use these 6 influence models to demonstrate how changes will work efficiently.

When you inspire others, all the gears in their mind click into place and function to work together towards the same goal.

The people I want to follow as influencers include fellow students, colleagues, and parents who have expertise in blended learning and math, see my Literature Review.

Organizational influencers

"Influencers who are elected by their peers are more committed, motivated, successful, and effective as catalysts for implementing change. These influencers can become your change agents, enabling the organization to start transforming. What is important for the influencer is to understand how important and integral their role is in ineffective organizational change management."
