A New Culture of Learning

I am a preschool teacher, and I have fun, most of the time, with my students; when they are at this age, they love to learn, and they feel powerful every day to learn something new. I can see some colleagues from higher grades and see in them their frustration and discouragement; they are constantly stressed by the weight and load they are facing, especially when it comes to the tests. It is unfortunate to see how it is losing focus of learning, focusing only on evaluation metrics by test rather than on the level of growth of children.
Interestingly, I am learning to incorporate activities that promote passion and imagination and play into naturalistic learning with more students. Reassessment is fundamental in the structure and methodology of education to better align it with the inherent nature of learning.
The emerging learning culture is deeply rooted in passion, imagination, and acceptance of limitations. Designing an environment where students can explore their interests and confront critical challenges is imperative to their growth and development.
I love what I saw in the DR. Thomas (2012) video. I highlight that we need three essential points to transform how we learn.
Engage the passion: No matter what happens or what you say, it is impossible to stop learning for someone passionate about something.
Imagination: What if? Let's unleash our creativity and imagination by embracing constraints. By recognizing their importance, we can create something truly remarkable and find the passion to keep learning and growing.
Restructure: Traditional education has become outdated with the rapid evolution of technology and society. As a result, we must restructure our approach to learning to keep pace with the changing times. The focus should be on the content and the context in which it is delivered. This culture shift requires us to rethink how we design learning environments and engage with students to ensure their success.
