Wrapping Everything

Together

This year has been one of my most interesting, challenging, and refreshing years because I began my teaching career. This journey started with a lot of fears; I felt like I was stuck at some point. I loved working with my students and teaching, as a child, I enjoyed going to school every day, but I still spent too much time in school and working with students. As an immigrant in a new country, meeting new people in a new learning culture has been part of my new life.

Change is significant because life is constantly changing, people evolve, technology advances and inventions develop daily. We need substantial changes in the educational field using technology; it is essential to identify learning network innovations and recognize them as opportunities rather than challenges, accepting that these changes can be proactively used as catalysts to improve their results organizations also, how do apply the principles of disruptive innovation.

When creating my Innovation Plan, I did not know the importance of the concepts learned in this course. I decided to implement a plan, a method called blended learning models. Blended learning includes models such as station rotation, a course or subject in which students experience the rotation model within a classroom or group of contained classrooms. Additionally, I have been implementing the individualized rotation that I am using to support my students in class. Students will use this strategy to rotate between learning modalities on an individually personalized schedule. This modality establishes a daily schedule using a playlist personalized to your educational needs (Horn & Staker, 2015, p.45).

After reflecting on my growth mindset plan and reviewing Carol Dweck's research on growth mindset and The Power of Yet, I firmly believe that the power of mindset is significant because, most of the time, everything around us pushes and challenges us to do things that seem complex or difficult. The word success may differ for everyone; what is success for someone might not mean the same thing for others. That is why we need to understand the type of mentality we have. I want to help and inspire other people in my school to believe that they have the power to accept challenges and be open to saying, "I can, I will, it won't be easy, but I will do my best."

The growth mindset is based on the belief that your basic qualities are things you can cultivate through your effort, your strategies, and the help of others (Dweck, 2016 p.6). The growth mindset is really important because it helps us understand that where there are problems or obstacles, instead of giving up, we can accept them and change difficulties into opportunities.

With this in mind, I would like to share with teachers and students at my school the power of the word "yet." I share and motivate my students daily about the power of still. I have been sharing my life experience with them because there have been moments when challenges have come up, and I heard that negative voice saying you will not make it. For example, when I came to the United States, I faced the challenge of learning a new language. I was definitely in my fixed mindset, but some people encouraged me to think that anything could be possible if I changed my thinking without knowing it was a transition from my fixed mindset to a growth mindset. In other words, the motivation I received from those people changed my life for the better. I am still learning to develop my skills to share with others.

I have been learning how to implement an effective learning environment in my classroom. I don't know enough about it still, but I want to share with you that to create a meaningful learning environment, it is necessary to understand the concept of the new learning culture; as Douglas states Thomas: “There are three different fundamental elements in a new learning culture: passion, imagination, and limitation.” As part of an organization, I firmly believe that teachers must facilitate a classroom space where students can find passion in their daily activities to connect it with purpose, where theory meets practice and imagination meets experiences from the real world.

We have to allow our students to have a voice in their learning process, giving them options that are enjoyable but educational at the same time. Additionally, I have been observing in my students that when I implement new strategies such as new technological resources to embrace and achieve their academic goals, I have seen progress in more challenges but doing it in a fun way through digital resources that breaks up a bit. The old teaching model is a new learning model (Thomas et al., 2011). I'm not saying that traditional teaching doesn't work, but combining them to do blended learning.

I can influence others by modeling what I am doing in my classroom and showing them how it works. I believe teachers have the power to do wonders by practicing the elements of the learning environment. Being consistent is very important so that students can create routines. From the beginning, this process must be successful to influence more students and teachers. I was hoping you could share this with my organization and explain the importance of the new learning culture.

More people around me will adopt my ideas if I can prove that something works and is worth trying based on research. I think my perspective has generally been to introduce and effect change within my organization; it has influenced my philosophy on learning and the necessary actions to succeed in my goals.

To teach, or teach, is to impart knowledge or skill to someone by instruction or example or to give lessons on a subject. On the contrary, to learn, or to learn, is to come to know something, to acquire knowledge, or to discover something.

(Harapnuik, 2018).

I firmly believe that we are born capable of learning manifesto. In a straightforward sense, this is my central philosophy of education. In today's culturally diverse society, the role of bilingual education is to use the student's primary language to create affirming and academically challenging environments that provide second language learners with multiple opportunities to experience academic success, master the English language, and acquire valuable skills for everyday life.

Finally, I am trying to impact my organization in a way that I can guide my students. In my innovation plan, I will address those areas of constructivism to be successful in my classroom and implement a meaningful learning environment. By having a better understanding of learning philosophies, I will continue to meet my students' needs to know where they are academically and connect lessons to their lives. This will help increase interest and help my students learn to make sense of what they are learning. In the classroom, I serve as a role model, sharing my personal experiences to encourage and instill an “I can do it too” (growth mindset) and the belief that anything is possible if you study and work hard.
